Learn in public. This hit me quite well the other day. Some history first: I was probably a late adopter to all the artificial intelligence buzz that’s been around for a while. Heard about ChatGPT for the first time in early 2023, I guess. Created an account, left it there to rot for almost a year before I actually started using it for some good. The subject then fascinated me. Probably because I have watched ‘The Matrix’ more number of times than any other movie while growing up. Big fan of Keanu since then!

Anyway, I have been going down this rabbit hole ever since. Do not misunderstand, I am by no means an expert or even an intermediate on this subject. Just a beginner still. The curiosity helped to learn whatever little I could, at my own pace. I was lucky enough to discover some absolute geniuses along the way. Varun Mayya, Ansh Mehra. The kind of content these guys put out there are absolute gold for anyone to be in the top 10% who knows this stuff. Provided you have the curiosity and resilience for continuous improvement.

Two days back I was watching a video of Ansh where he was explaining the courses out there to learn about artificial intelligence. From top tier educational institutions to the tech giants like Nvidia, OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Anthropic, all of them have their modules of educational content on AI. And free, the most of them! Towards the end of the video is when he stressed on this one thing: learn in public.

This isn’t something I’m hearing for the first time or something I had never thought before doing. The lot of us are present in most of the social media apps. X, Instagram, facebook, linkedin, reddit, threads, and other countless ones. It is true that when you explain a subject to others, your clarity on it improves and thus you learn it better. I have done this for the past 10 years as a trainer for various topics at my workplace. But putting them out on my social media associated with a certain fear of judgement, which stopped me. Which is highly contrary to what I always tell myself that, ‘forget what others think about you’. Yet, somehow, that never happened!

So, I am deciding to change it. There are multiple topics I am interested in and learning right now. I will pass on what I learn. Hopefully I will add some value.
